Testing applications on z/OS

You can test applications on IBM® z/OS® systems by using the mainframe support capabilities of IBM Rational® Integration Tester. Rational Integration Tester is installed as part of the IBM Rational Test Workbench product offering.

Hardware requirements

No special hardware is needed for any of the z/OS features that are supported by Rational Integration Tester 8.5.0 (or later).

Software requirements

This section explains the software requirements for z/OS and Rational Integration Tester.

Rational Integration Tester 8.5.0 or later and IBM Rational Test Control Panel 8.5.0 or later must be installed.

Record IMS Connect traffic by using the HTTP/TCP proxy IBM Rational Integration Tester Platform Pack, which is installed as part of either the Rational Test Workbench or the IBM Rational Test Virtualization Server product offering.
