Adding or importing operations to Event Monitor view

You can add operations or import operations to the Event Monitor view, to select and record the required events.

About this task

Once the Recording Studio is opened, you can add operations to be monitored from the Event Monitors view.

Procedure

  1. Open the Events Monitors view.
  2. You can add or import operations to the Event Monitor view. Select the appropriate button in the Event Monitors toolbar:
    • To add an event, click Select operations or resources to monitorSelect operations or resources to monitor tool button. Select a resource from the current project, and click OK.
    • To import an event, click Import monitors Import monitors tool button. Select the location of the file from where to import the event. You can use Ctrl or Shift to select multiple operations. Click OK.
  3. Optional: Alternatively, you can select the operations to be monitored in the Logical View of Architecture School, and then, click the Add event monitors for the selected items Add event monitors for the selected items button in the main toolbar of IBM® Rational® Integration Tester. Clicking the Add event monitors for the selected items button on the toolbar in the Architecture School only add the events. To start recording, you have to click the record button in the Recording Studio.
  4. The selected operations are displayed (and enabled for recording, by default) in the Event Monitors view. To enable or disable recording for a specific operation, select or clear the Enabled check box for the operation. If an event monitor cannot be created for an operation, an error message with details is displayed.
