You can change the bindings of an infrastructure component
in one or more environments in the component editor. You can also
use the menu or the environment editor to change the bindings.
Changing bindings by using the component editor
- Open the component editor (see Viewing component details)
and select the Bindings tab.
- Click in the Binding field next to the
wanted environment and select the physical resource to bind to in
that environment.
- Click OK to save your changes and close
the dialog.
Changing bindings by using the menu
- Right-click the component and place the cursor over the Set
Binding In option. A submenu is displayed for each environment.
The environment that is selected is displayed in bold.
- Select the name of the environment where you want to set the binding.
- If any physical resources are created, select the physical resource
to which the selected component is to be bound. If no physical resources
of the selected type exist, you can create a new physical resource
by selecting the Create new resource type option.
Changing bindings by using the environment editor
- Open the Environment Editor in one of the following ways:
- Click the Environment icon in the main toolbar.
- Click the small arrow next to the Environment icon
in the main toolbar and select the Edit Environments option.
- On the menu, select the Project > Edit Environments.
- In the Environment Editor, select the environment from the list
on the left side of the editor.
The contents of
each environment are organized as Properties, Bindings,
and Documentation. Change the binding as needed.
