Thread pool collection
Use this page to manage the thread pools that an application server uses. A thread pool enables components of the server to reuse threads, which eliminates the need to create new threads at run time. Creating new threads expends time and resources.
This page is not available for the z/OS®
platform because thread pools are not used in a z/OS
environment.
To view this administrative console page, you can choose more than one navigational route.
For example, for thread pools other than the ORB service thread pool, click
(Under Additional Properties). The various thread pools you may see are:
- Default ThreadPool
- ORB.thread.pool
- SIBFAPInboundThreadPool
- SIBFAPThreadPool
- SIBMSRAThreadPool
- TCPChannel.DCS
- WMQJCAResourceAdapter
- WebContainer
- server.startup
To create a thread pool, click New and enter the information on the resulting panel.
To delete a thread pool, select the thread pool you want to delete, then click Delete.
Supported configurations: Because these administrative console panels
display information dynamically, you might not see all of the fields listed on any particular
panel.
