Enabling user profiles to run application servers with IBM Navigator for i

Except for the default user profile (QEJBSVR), all user profiles that are used to run an application server must be enabled through the IBM Navigator for i for the WebSphere® Application Server.

Before you begin

The user profile that you use to run IBM Navigator for i must have *SECADM special authority to perform this task.

About this task

To enable application servers to run under a user profile other than QEJBSVR, complete the following steps.

Procedure

  1. Make sure that the IBM Navigator for i server is running on your system.
For more information, see IBM Navigator for i.
  2. Open IBM Navigator for i in your browser by going to http://hostname:2002/Navigator, where hostname is the hostname of the machine where the IBM Navigator for i server is running.
