Task 9-13: Configure SOAP Gateway for a callout service or event server

Choose this subtask to configure SOAP Gateway for a callout web service or business event server.

Restriction: Starting with Fix Pack 2 and later, use of the SOAP Gateway deployment utility for consumer and business event related tasks requires restarting the server for the changes to take effect. Certain functions are disabled and you must use the equivalent SOAP Gateway management utility commands. This task is disabled and replaced by the iogmgmt -deploy command.

This task is used to configure SOAP Gateway based on the name and location of the WSDL file for the external web service or WebSphere® Business Events server. For WebSphere Business Monitor, specify the name and location of the XSD file.

  1. When you are prompted, enter the name and the location of the WSDL file of the web service or WebSphere Business Events server you want to access. For WebSphere Business Monitor, enter the name and location of the XSD file. For example, C:\MyWSDLFile.wsdl.
Tip: If the WSDL file was deployed before or you have copied the WSDL file into the SOAP Gateway wsdl/ directory, you can enter the name for the WSDL file without the path. The full path is not required.
  2. When you are prompted, enter the name and the location of the correlator file that you created for the web service. For example C:\MyCorrFile.xml.
Tip: If the correlator file was created or you have copied the correlator file into the SOAP Gateway xml/ directory, you can enter the name for the correlator file without the path. The full path is not required.
