Importing relationship data into InfoSphere Optim Data Growth Solution

Now that the xml file is converted to InfoSphere® Optim™ Data Growth Solution format, the archive data can be included in InfoSphere Optim Data Growth Solution. Check for any conversion errors.

About this task

The import into InfoSphere Optim Data Growth Solution requires some editing of the text file before loading the file into InfoSphere Optim Data Growth Solution to be archived.

Procedure

  1. Open the text file in a text editor and edit the file to change the <dbalias>.<dbowner> settings as shown in Editing the access definitions files.
  2. In the text file, also edit the file to change the <dbaliasname>.<dbownername> settings. Save the text file.
  3. Open InfoSphere Optim Data Growth Solution and connect to an Optim Directory.
    1. In the Utilities menu, select Import.
    2. Select the file to be imported.
  4. On the Process tab, select the Relationship definition.
  5. Click Run. Some settings in IBM® Maximo® Asset Management are not compatible with InfoSphere Optim Data Growth Solution, so you can continue to import the relationship definitions if you receive errors.
  6. In the Tools menu, select Select all definitions, and select the Continue import if error(s) check box.
  7. Click Run.

Results

Review the imported asset data, and check for any errors. Errors are indicated with a red cross. Clicking an error displays the reason for the error on the InfoSphere Optim Data Growth Solution import screen. Errors can be corrected within InfoSphere Optim Data Growth Solution.
