Tivoli Storage Manager file restore interface
You can restore individual files from a VMware virtual machine backup.
Overview
The file restore interface is a web-based interface where you can restore individual files from a VM backup. The advantage of this interface is that file, software, and platform owners can restore their own files without prior knowledge of Tivoli® Storage Manager backup and restore operations.
The file restore interface feature is installed when you select the option to protect your data in a vSphere environment. In the Data Protection for VMware configuration wizard, you must enable the file restore feature for the interface to be available.
Accessing the Tivoli Storage Manager file restore interface
To access the file restore interface, open a web browser and enter the URL provided by your
administrator. For
