This section describes the requirements for the Application Builder
tutorial
The requirements for this tutorial are the following:
- Watson Explorer Engine using the embedded web server, Application Builder, and ZooKeeper are
installed and running.
- You have crawled example-metadata in Watson Explorer Engine.
Note: The
Metadata tutorial (Tutorial: Using Metadata for Searching, Sorting, and Filtering),
provided in the Watson Explorer Engine documentation, uses the example-metadata
search collection to describe the steps required to crawl a search collection. Therefore,
it is recommended to have completed the Metadata tutorial prior to beginning this
tutorial.
- You have the query service running in Watson Explorer Engine.
To start the query service, in your Watson Explorer Engine
administration tool, navigate to and click start.
- You have modified the example-metadata and example-appbuilder
collections to automatically generate dictionaries.
To do so, in your Watson Explorer Engine
administration tool, navigate to each of the search collections (example-metadata and
example-appbuilder), and in the Indexing section of the
Configuration tab of each collection, set Generate Dictionaries
located in the Term expansion support subsection to true.
- You have modified the Search Engine Query Service in Watson Explorer Engine to allow all IP addresses, by adding the value
of * to the Allowed IPs field on the Search
Engine Query Service Options tab.
To do so, in your Watson Explorer Engine administration tool, navigate to . Click edit. Enter *.*.*.* in the Allowed IPs field and then click OK.
- You have verified that no system firewall is blocking access to Watson Explorer Engine and
Application Builder.
