Switching from central to local VM Manager Tool

Starting from application update 9.2.26, if the local VM Manager Tool does not exist, it is installed during the upgrade of the License Metric Tool server. You can continue using the VM Manager Tool that you had previously, or switch to using the local one as it ensures faster transport of data to the License Metric Tool server.

Before you begin

Before you switch to the local VM Manager Tool, ensure that it can connect to all VM managers.

Procedure

  1. In the top navigation bar, hover over Management, and click VM Managers.
  2. Select an existing VM manager.
  3. From the VM Manager Tool Location list, choose Local (on ILMT Server).
  4. To save the changes, click Save.
