Uninstalling Data Studio web console

You can use the Installation Manager to remove Data Studio web console from your computer.

About this task

When you uninstall Data Studio web console, all of the components are removed. However, you must manually delete the files and folders that were created after the installation.
Note: The information that is stored in the configuration repository database is not removed. If you install another instance of Data Studio web console and attach the existing database as the configuration repository database, this information is available to the new installation.

Procedure

To uninstall Data Studio web console:

  1. Stop the Data Studio web console server and uninstall the Data Studio web console Windows service.
    • Linux and UNIX: From the DSWC_installation_dir/bin directory, run the command unconfig_DSWC.sh Where DSWC_installation_dir is the path to the directory where you installed the software:
      • Default path for administrative users: /opt/IBM/DSWC4.1.1
      • Default path for non-administrative user: $HOME/DSWC4.1.1
    • Windows: From the Start menu, click All Programs > IBM Data Studio > Data Studio 4.1.1 Web Console > Unconfigure the Data Studio web console.
  2. Uninstall the product using the Installation Manager:
    1. Start IBM Installation Manager.
    2. On the Start page click Uninstall.
    3. On the Uninstall Packages page, from the Installation Packages list, select the product package that you want to uninstall and click Next.
    4. On the Summary page, review the list of packages that will be uninstalled and click Uninstall. The Complete page is displayed after the packages are removed.
    5. Click Finish.
    Data Studio web console is now uninstalled.
