Enterprise deployment of the IBM Data Studio client

Overview of enterprise deployment
Enterprise deployment allows you to install the the IBM Data Studio client on one computer (the base computer) and then easily replicate the installation to other computers in your enterprise.

Prerequisites for enterprise deployment
The base computer on which you plan to generate the response files and silent actions for installation, modify, or uninstallation and the computers that you plan to deploy the installation, modify, or uninstallation to must meet certain requirements.

Exporting configuration settings from a base computer
Optionally, you can export any configuration settings that you changed on your base computer and deploy those settings on computers across your enterprise.

Installing the product across the enterprise
Use the IM_run_silent_install script to install the IBM Data Studio client across your enterprise.

Updating the product across the enterprise
Use the IM_run_silent_update script to update the IBM Data Studio client across your enterprise.

Modifying the product across the enterprise
Use the IM_run_silent_modify script to add or remove installable features or languages for the IBM Data Studio client across your enterprise.

Uninstalling the product across the enterprise
Use the IM_run_silent_uninstall script to uninstall the IBM Data Studio client across your enterprise.
