Example

Monitor the level of service provided by the LDAP server ldap.mycompany.com by searching for the user Hamish Wednesday. Monitor the directory at ten-minute intervals. Attempt to connect and access the database within 30 seconds using the credentials jbloggs/secret9 and, if this fails, retry three times with five seconds between each retry.

Note: This example refers to the LDAP hierarchy shown in Example directory service.

Create a new LDAP profile element and set the fields to the values shown in Table 1.
