Enabling tracing

For certain problems, IBM® Software Support might request that you enable tracing for the z/OS® Log Forwarder or for IBM Operations Analytics - Log Analysis.

About this task

For the z/OS Log Forwarder, you can enable tracing in either of the following ways:
  • Enable static tracing by using the logging configuration file
  • Enable dynamic tracing by using the MVS™ MODIFY command
