Copying component processes

You can create a copy of a component's process and paste it into another component.

About this task

If you require a similar process in more than one component, you can reuse the process by copying it. After you create the copied process, you can edit it. See Editing processes.
Restriction: You cannot copy a process that contains a Run Component Process step.

Procedure

  1. To view a component's process, click Components, click the component, and click the Processes tab for the component.
  2. In the Actions column, click Copy by the selected process. The Process Clipboard panel opens below the Processes window and contains the process that you copied.
  3. Click Componets again, click the destination component, and click the Processes tab for the component.
  4. In the Process Clipboard panel, click Paste by the copied process.
  5. To remove the process from the Process Clipboard, click Clear Copied Processes.
