Learn how to configure settings in IBM® UrbanCode™ Deploy elements
and communication between the elements.
Caching artifacts on agent relays
Agent relays can cache downloaded artifacts. Caching artifacts in this way improves
performance because agents retrieve artifacts from agent relays instead of from the
server.
High availability and failover
You can configure clustered IBM UrbanCode Deploy
servers, blueprint design servers, and agents for high availability.
SSL configuration
With Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)
technology, clients and servers can communicate securely by encrypting
all communications. Data is encrypted before it is sent and decrypted
by the recipient. This communication cannot be deciphered or modified
by third-parties. In addition to encryption, SSL can also support
authentication.
Relocating CodeStation
You can move the CodeStation artifacts to a different location
on the server.
Creating network relays
A network relay is a setting on an IBM UrbanCode Deploy
server that opens a Java™ Message Service (JMS) port for
communication with other servers.
Enabling maintenance mode Maintenance mode stops activity on the server so you can run
important tasks that require the server to be idle.
Configuring the cloud discovery service
The cloud discovery service provides information about available images, regions, and
flavors to the blueprint design server. This service runs with a default set of options, but you can
customize these options.
Estimating the cost for cloud environments
You can specify cost centers for cloud systems and for IBM UrbanCode Deploy
components. Then, the blueprint design server estimates the cost of new environments by using that
information.
