Configuring the server to send notifications

You can set up a mail server for sending notifications. To send email, you must define a SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) server.

The mail server can be configured on the release server or a separate server. It can be configured during installation of the release server. If the SMTP server is not configured during installation or the options defined need to be changed, they can be updated on the System Settings window.
  1. Click Settings > System Settings.
  2. Complete the following fields.
    Mail SMTP Host
    The host name of the SMTP server.
    Mail SMTP Port
    The port for the SMTP server.
    Secure Mail Server Connection
    Toggle the Secure Mail Server Connection switch to turn off and on SSL connections to the server.
    Mail Server Sender Address
    The email address to send the message from.
    Mail Server Username
    The user name for the SMTP server.
    Mail Server Password
    The password for the SMTP server.
  3. Click Test Mail Server Settings to verify the connection to the mail server.
    Test emails are sent to the admin user's email address.
  4. Click Save.
    The success message displays, click Close.
