Version 7.1 of WebSphere® MQ
Monitoring agent has the following
enhancements:
- An Event Archive workspace is provided to view archived WebSphere MQ events that are
reported to a queue manager. You can also use the search function
in this workspace to search for specific archived WebSphere MQ events. For detailed information,
see Event Archive workspace and Searching for WebSphere MQ events.
- The WebSphere MQ
Monitoring agent can
provide the channel summary data on both the queue manager level and
on the channel level. New attributes are added to the Current Queue
Manager Status attribute group to provide the summary channel data
on the queue manager level. A new attribute group, Channel Summary,
is provided for the summary data on the channel level, which is useful
for server connection channels. For detailed information about the
related attribute groups, see Current Queue Manager Status attributes and Channel Summary attributes.
- The Current Queue
Manager Status workspace is updated with new data that can help you
understand the overall activity and health of the queue manager in
real time. For information about the new health indicator attributes
that you can see in this workspace, see Current Queue Manager Status attributes.
- Self-describing agent application support installation is supported
for WebSphere MQ
Monitoring agent.
With this self-describing capability, you do not have to manually
install the agent application support on IBM® Tivoli® Monitoring components
(monitoring server and portal server). For detailed instructions,
see IBM Tivoli Composite Application Manager Agents
for WebSphere Messaging:
Installation and Setup Guide, SC14-7520.
- The 64-bit integer attribute support is provided for accounting
and statistics attributes on distributed systems, which solves the
overflow problems that might happen previously.
- Support of WebSphere MQ
V7.1 and WebSphere MQ
V7.5 is provided on distributed systems.
- Cognos® data models and
sample reports for WebSphere MQ
Monitoring agent are
provided to work with Tivoli Common
Reporting V2.1.1. For more details, see Running Reports with Tivoli Common Reporting.
