If you have configured the ITCAM configuration agent for WebSphere® MQ during
installation, you do not have to reconfigure it for a second time
and can start using the agent. Otherwise, you must configure the agent
now.
About this task
Perform the following procedure to configure the
ITCAM configuration agent for WebSphere MQ:
Procedure
- Click to open the Manage
Tivoli Enterprise Monitoring Services window.
- From the Manage Tivoli Enterprise Monitoring
Services window, right-click WebSphere MQ Configuration
Agent and click Configure using defaults.
- To accept existing communications settings, click OK on
the two configuration windows that appear; or make any required changes
on these windows, and then click OK.
- You are prompted to edit the kmcenv_instance parameter
file, where instance is the agent instance name
of the ITCAM configuration agent for WebSphere MQ (The
parameter file of the primary agent is named kmcenv).
- If you want to accept the default parameters and use the agent
to configure all queue managers on your system, do not edit the parameter
file. Click No.
- If you want to configure the agent to run in a clustering
environment, perform the following procedure:
- Click Yes.
- Edit the parameters as required, then save and close
the file.

- Click Yes to configure the agent.
You are returned to the Manage Tivoli Enterprise
Monitoring Services window.
