Tivoli Composite Application Manager for SOA, Version 7.1.1

Upgrading from a previous installation

This chapter describes the general procedures and considerations for upgrading a previous installation of IBM Tivoli Composite Application Manager for SOA in supported IBM Tivoli Monitoring environments.

You perform an upgrade from a previous installation by completing the following general steps:

  1. Disable all data collection for your monitored environments, using the procedures documented in the publication library for your current IBM Tivoli Composite Application Manager for SOA installation.
  2. If necessary, upgrade your IBM Tivoli Monitoring installation to one of the minimum supported versions.
  3. Upgrade any IBM Tivoli Composite Application Manager for SOA version 6.0.0 monitoring agents to at least Version 6.1.0. Monitoring agents from version 6.0.0 are no longer supported.
  4. Upgrade your IBM Tivoli Composite Application Manager for SOA installation to version 7.1.1.
  5. Re-enable data collection for your monitored environments, using the procedures in this guide.
