Verifying that the logical partition is configured to be remote restartable

You can use the Hardware Management Console (HMC) to verify whether the logical partition is configured to be remote restartable.

When the Hardware Management Console (HMC) is at version 8.7.0, or later, you can use the lssyscfg command to verify that the logical partition supports remote restart.

To verify that the logical partition is configured to be remote restartable, complete the following steps:

  1. In the navigation pane, open Systems Management > Servers, and select and click the system on which the logical partition is located.
  2. Select the logical partition in the work pane.
  3. From the Tasks menu, select Properties.
    • If the General tab displays Remote Restartable: Activated, the logical partition is remote restart capable.
    • If the General tab does not display Remote Restartable: Activated, the logical partition is not remote restart capable.
  4. Click OK.
