Installing, removing, and replacing PCIe RAID and SSD SAS adapters in the 8231-E2B, 8231-E1C, 8231-E1D, 8231-E2C, 8231-E2D, or 8268-E1D system with the power off
You can remove, replace, or install PCI Express (PCIe) RAID and solid-state drive (SSD) serial-attached SCSI (SAS) adapters in the system.
If you are installing a new adapter, you must also refer to PCI adapter placement for slot placement information.
If you are installing a new feature, ensure that
you have the software that is required to support the new feature
and that you determine whether there are any prerequisites. To check for the prerequisites, see IBM® Prerequisite
website . If the required software is not installed, see
the following websites to download it, and then install it before
continuing:
