You can delete a Metro Mirror relationship
between the source and target volumes. This action removes the source
and target volumes from the configuration.
About this task
You can use this function to delete a
Metro Mirror or Global Copy pair.
Procedure
Complete the following steps from the DS Storage Manager to
delete a Metro Mirror or Global Copy relationship
between the source and target volume:
- In the navigation, select . The Metro Mirror/Global
Copy main page is displayed.
- Select a storage image from
the menu. A list of Metro Mirror and Global Copy sessions
is displayed. Select the session or sessions that you want to delete.
- Select Delete from
the Action menu.
- If you delete a Metro Mirror or Global Copy volume
pair with the source LSS and the process runs successfully, the source
and the target volume go into simplex state.
- If you delete a Metro Mirror or Global Copy volume
pair with the target LSS and the process runs successfully, the source
volume is in suspended state, and the target volume is in simplex
state. This option is useful in a disaster situation when the source
(local) site is down.
- The Delete Metro
Mirror/Global Copy window opens, with a list of the session
or sessions that you selected to delete. Click Delete to
delete the session or sessions.
