Verifying the processor-level hardware capabilities of the destination server

On POWER8® processor-based servers, to migrate a shared processor mobile partition that is configured with processing units to a virtual processor ratio of less than 0.1 and greater than or equal to 0.05, verify that the destination server supports the same configuration by checking the processor-level hardware capabilities of the destination server.

By reducing the minimum entitlement to 0.05 processing units per virtual processor for all logical partitions without physical I/O devices, you can create up to 20 partitions on a single physical processor.
To verify the processor level hardware capabilities of the destination server, run the following command from the Hardware Management Console (HMC) command-line interface:
lshwres -r proc -m vrml13-fsp --level sys
If the value of the min_proc_units_per_virtual_proc attribute is 0.05, the destination server has the same processor-level hardware capabilities as the source server.
