Removing and replacing a PCIe adapter in the 5148-21L, 5148-22L, 8247-21L, 8247-22L, 8284-21A, or 8284-22A system with the power turned on in Linux

Learn how to remove and replace the Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI) Express (PCIe) adapters in a Linux system or a Linux logical partition with the system power turned on.

If your system is managed by the Hardware Management Console (HMC), use the HMC to repair a part in the system. For instructions, see Repairing a part by using the HMC.
