This fix pack requires the earlier AD V5.0.5.1 fix pack to be already installed. Use the installer located in the "IBM ADDI" folder to install or upgrade the modified components.

You can upgrade from V5.0.5.1 without uninstalling existing components. Run the ADDI installer over the existing installation if the previous installation path is preserved. For instructions on installing or upgrading from earlier versions and configuring IBM Application Discovery Suite, see IBM AD Installation and Configuration Guide, which can also be found in the IBM Application Discovery and Delivery Intelligence (ADDI) Library.

For upgrading IBM Analyze Client, use the zip file located in the "IBM AD Analyze Client" folder.

The AD components that were not modified can be preserved as they are when upgrading from V5.0.5.1 to V5.0.5.2.

AD Build (Client and Server) updates:

  • PL/I record assignments using the BY NAME option is now supported,
  • PL/I main Procedure name matches the Procedure name and not file name - also refered as 'PL/I program aliases',
  • PACKAGE statement and collect EXPORTS procedures are now supported,
  • Extensibility - API Calls are now supported for PL/I compiler.

AD Batch Server updates:

  • Graph Database Import starts as soon as a new project is added. In 5.0.3.0 (for some installations), Batch Server had to be restarted in order to have the Graph Database Import started for new projects.

AD Analyze Client updates:

  • The PL/I programs are now identified by the main procedure name (if 'OPTIONS (MAIN)' exists).

AD Connect for Mainframe PTF UI53376:

  • Fixed various problems when interacting with CHANGEMAN via a batch job interface on a system running JES3: Batch jobs not completing, missing data, timeouts, and S0C4 abend in the agent started task

  • SQL SELECT UNION ALL is now parsed correctly when included inside parenthesis and having an alias
  • The SQL SELECT properties WITH UR/RR/RS, FOR UPDATE, FOR READ/FETCH ONLY, OPTIMIZE, QUERYNO and SKIP LOCKED DATA are now parsed correctly
  • '+' sign in SQL syntax is now parsed with no errors (APAR PI85194 )

PL1 Compiler:

  • The ‘!!’ concatenation operator and variable declarations that include expressions are now handled correctly in PL1

  • Information about segments is now collected for the following situations:
  • When the PCBNAME is on a different line than PCB statement one
  • When there's an "ENTRY" statement just right after Procedure Division
  • When a program is using 2 PSB Files having the same DBDNAME inside, all the segments are collected

PL1 Compiler:

  • SQL Table names are now properly collected when alias are used
  • ++INCLUDE statement is now supported in PL1

Installer: SQL Server Native client (SQLNCLI ), distributed by AD Build Server is now successfully installing on all supported Operating Systems.
