IBM Application Delivery Intelligence for IBM Z V5.1.0

What's new

IBM Application Delivery Intelligence for IBM Z (IBM ADI) V5.1.0 further integrates with IBM Application Discovery for IBM Z (IBM AD) to provide the business rule discovery functionalities. The following features are added to facilitate the business rule discovery activities.

  • Keyword discovery through the static analysis of data usages in application artifacts. IBM ADI provides a ranked list of keywords based on the usage analysis of the keywords within application artifacts such as source code. The usage information for analysis includes the usages in included files, usages in condition statements, usages in computation statements, file input/output usages, database input/output usages, and IBM MQ usages. With the usage information, you can quickly identify business terms from the keyword list.
  • Automated discovery of potential business terms from enterprise artifacts. Most of business terms and business rules are documented in enterprise artifacts as natural languages. ADI helps to expedite the business term discovery process by automatically discovering the potential business terms that use Natural Language Processing (NLP) method.
  • Team collaboration on managing the inventory of business terms. You can collaborate with your team members to build the inventory of business terms through the list of discovered keywords. While your team collaborates, business terms can be tracked and managed. You can identify the usages of business terms in the source code or enterprise artifacts and define them as snippets. The snippets typically contain business logic that is part of business rules.

IBM Application Delivery Intelligence 5.0.5

What's new

IBM Application Delivery Intelligence (ADI) V5.0.5 further integrates with IBM Application Discovery (AD) and improves the analytical capabilities of Application Discovery data provider. The following enhancements and new features are added.

  • Single installation process of ADDI components. ADI installation is now integrated with the overall installation process of IBM Application Discovery and Delivery Intelligence (ADDI) components. You can perform basic configuration tasks of ADI by using IBM Application Discovery Configuration Server Admin interface.
  • Static analysis improvements. Most of the key static analysis metrics and structure data from Application Discovery data providers can now be visualized in ADI. The reports from Application Discovery data are highly customizable to suit specific needs of various project requirements, or can be used out of the box with preselected defaults. With the improved user experience for static analysis, you can easily get into the detailed analysis reports without going through multiple pages.
  • Shared resources analysis. Data sources that are shared by multiple projects within the Application Discovery data provider are analyzed and displayed in a graphical format. You can easily understand how the resources are used and see the impact of changes better between data sources and projects.
  • Notification rules for metric violation. To better monitor the changes of source code in your system, you can now set up rules so that you get notified when the metric values violate the rules you defined. For example, you can get notified when one of the static metrics from Application Discovery data provider is over the unacceptable threshold. You can subscribe or unsubscribe the notifications of the rules as you prefer.
  • Sharing and collaboration. Now you can instantly share charts or reports with your team members through ADI, which improves the collaboration between you and your team.
