IBM Cognos TM1 10.2.2 Fix Pack 5: Preserving SSL configuration settings during update

Product Documentation

Abstract

When you upgrade to TM1 10.2.2 Fix Pack 5 (10.2.2.5), the upgrade process overwrites the TM1 startup script. If you modified the startup script to configure SSL, you must restore the SSL settings after upgrading.

Content

When you upgrade to TM1 10.2.2 Fix Pack 5, the upgrade process overwrites the TM1 startup script. If you modified the startup script to configure SSL, rename the startup script file before you install FP5. After FP5 is installed, rename the script file that contains the SSL configuration to service_pmpsvc.bat (for Windows) or startup_pmpsvc.sh (for UNIX/Linux).

For 64-bit systems, the script is located in the installation\bin64 directory.
For 32-bit systems, the script is located in the installation\bin directory.

If the file was already overwritten, modify the TM1 startup script file again to include the SSL settings.

If the SSL settings are not in the TM1 startup script, the TM1 application server will not work.
