Abstract
A comma-separated value (CSV) file can define database, data file, or BI report assets. This file can be used as the source to generate an import file that is in an ISX Asset Interchange format.

Each asset type is defined in its own section of the CSV file. Each section has a pre-defined header, footer, and row header.
The database asset includes: host, database, schema, database table, and column assets.
- The "DBMS" column of a database may contain of these values: ACCESS, DB2, SQL Server, XML, EXCEL, Microsoft SQL Server, Informix, Teradata, Text, and Oracle. Other values are ignored.
- The "ODBC Type" column of a database column may contain any of these values: CHAR, VARCHAR, LONGVARCHAR, DECIMAL, NUMERIC, SMALLINT, INTEGER, REAL, FLOAT, DOUBLE, BINARY, DATE, TIME, TIMESTAMP, GUID, and UNKNOWN. Other values are ignored.
- The "DataType" column of a database column may contain any of these values: INT8, INT16, INT32, INT64, DECIMAL, STRING, BINARY, BOOLEAN, DATE, TIME, DATETIME, CHOICE, GUID, and UNKNOWN. Other values are ignored.
- The "Nullability" and "Unique" columns of a database column may contain either TRUE or FALSE. Other values are ignored.
The data file asset includes: host, data file, data file structure, and data file field assets.
- The "ODBC Type" column of a data file field may contain any of these values: CHAR, VARCHAR, LONGVARCHAR, DECIMAL, NUMERIC, SMALLINT, INTEGER, REAL, FLOAT, DOUBLE, BINARY, DATE, TIME, TIMESTAMP, GUID, and UNKNOWN. Other values are ignored.

All defined assets must be unique. If two assets have the same name and identity in the same CSV file, the istool generate command fails.
Download the attached text files, modify them to meet your needs, and then save them in a CSV format.
