Abstract
The following information provides the instructions for installing updates for database patterns database performance monitoring. This update supports the use of IPv6 with high availability disaster recovery (HADR).
Content
After upgrading PureApplication™ System to Version 1.1.0.2, you must download and install the updates for the existing database patterns that are used on the system if you want to use IPv6 with HADR. If you install the database pattern update, you must also install the updates for database performance monitoring. You do not need to install updates for database pattern types that are not deployed on your system.
Download information
Download the database pattern and database performance monitoring updates directly IBM Fix Central. The following table provides the fix pack description, a link to the file in IBM Fix Central website, and the fix pack file name for each update.

Installation instructions
To install the database patterns and database performance monitoring updates on your system, complete the following steps:
1. Make sure that the existing virtual application database patterns (DBaaS) are upgraded to version 1.1.0.9. For instructions on upgrading an existing virtual application database pattern, see the PureApplication™ System information center topic Upgrading existing database deployments.
2. Download the packages for the database performance monitoring and the database patterns that are used on the system.
3. Install the database performance monitoring pattern update on the system. For instructions, see the PureApplication™ System information center topic Updating virtual application pattern types by using the workload console.
4. Install the database pattern update on the system. Refer to the link in step 3 for instructions.
5. Apply the database pattern update on the system.
Note: If you are updating the virtual system (Hypervisor) database pattern on the system, the above step will complete the process. If you are updating a virtual application database pattern, proceed to the next step.
6. Upgrade the virtual application database pattern (DBaaS) on the system. For instructions on upgrading an existing virtual application database pattern, see the PureApplication™ System information center topic Upgrading existing database deployments.
