TM1 10.2.0 FP1 - Non-metrics cubes can now be changed into Scorecarding Metrics cubes in Cognos TM1 Performance Modeler

Product documentation

Abstract

IBM® Cognos® TM1® Performance Modeler version 10.2.0 Fix Pack 1 (FP1) provides a new feature that converts a regular, non-metrics type cube into a metrics cube. The cube can then be edited and used for Scorecarding diagrams.

Content

To change a non-metrics cube into a metrics cube perform the following steps:

  1. In the Model Design pane of Cognos TM1 Performance Modeler, right-click on a non-metrics cube and select Change Cube type.

Tip: If the option does not display, make sure you selected a non-metrics cube.

  2. Select a Cube Type of Metrics and click OK.

The cube is converted to a metrics-type cube. This new cube might require some additional configuration.

  3. Open the cube in the Metrics Cube editor to make sure it has the required dimensions.

Note: A metrics cube requires a minimum of the following dimensions: one metrics dimension, one metric indicator dimension, and one time dimension.

For more information about creating and editing metrics cubes, see "Creating a Metrics Cube" in the IBM Cognos TM1 10.2.0 Performance Modeler User Guide (http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/ctm1/v10r2m0/topic/com.ibm.swg.ba.cognos.prfmdl_ug.10.2.0.doc/TM1_Scorecarding_CreatingMetricsCube.html).
