Abstract
You can configure an IBM® Spectrum Protect™ (formerly IBM Tivoli® Storage Manager) cluster on an IBM AIX® or Linux® system using IBM Tivoli System Automation for Multiplatforms. By using the System Automation for Multiplatforms failover function, you can help to ensure that IBM Spectrum Protect server components automatically recover from failures.

Tip: The product now known as IBM Spectrum Protect was named IBM Tivoli Storage Manager in releases earlier than Version 7.1.3. The procedures that are described in the attached document apply to both V7 and V8 servers.
