Abstract

Sample data is provided so that you can see the IBM Predictive Maintenance and Quality solution work end-to-end. There are some mandatory steps that must be done to see the sample data working.

To use the sample data, you must do the following tasks:

  1. Install and load the sample data.
    For more information, see the IBM Predictive Maintenance and Quality Installation Guide, available from the IBM Predictive Maintenance and Quality information center (http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/pmq/v1r0m0/index.jsp).
  2. Set up mandatory profile variables and measurement types.
    For more information, see the IBM Predictive Maintenance and Quality Solution Guide, available from the IBM Predictive Maintenance and Quality information center (http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/pmq/v1r0m0/index.jsp).
  3. Load parameters for the sample integration message flow. These parameters are used while generating events related to health score and life span. This task is described below.

Load parameters for sample integration message flows
The following parameters are used while generating events related to the Health score and Lifespan analysis models.
  • Mandatory event type - RECOMMENDED

  • You can see examples in the event_type_upsert_sample_pmq.csv file.
  • Mandatory source system - PREDMAIT

  • You can see examples in the source_system_upsert_sample_pmq.csv file.
  • Mandatory value type - ACTUAL

  • You can see examples in the value_type_upsert_sample_pmq.csv file.

These files are installed on the Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) node computer in the following location:
/var/PMQ/MQSIFileInput/PMQSampleData/Sample_PMQ/

Important: Before you load live production data in IBM Predictive Maintenance and Quality,
all sample data must be removed.
