Encrypting virtual patterns with IBM Encryption Pattern for Security First SPxBitFiler-IPA

Product documentation

Abstract

IBM® Encryption Pattern for Security First SPxBitFiler-IPA provides encryption of data-at-rest data associated with your deployed virtual system patterns and virtual applications patterns in the IBM PureApplication™ System environment. Security First SPxBitFiler-IPA is a software application from Security First Corp. that is supported on Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Microsoft Windows, and AIX® operating systems in the PureApplication System environment.

Operating at the kernel level to achieve both maximum performance and ease of use, Security First SPxBitFiler-IPA transforms data management by weaving security directly into the data at the bit level by encrypting and splitting the data. This creates a solution with highly available, protected data that is only accessible with proper credentials.
