APARs fixed in IBM Content Navigator, Version 2.0.2
APAR | Description |
IO17152 | Problem description When IBM Content Navigator is deployed on Linux, Microsoft Office documents that are converted to PDF display text with a very small font. Resolution This problem is resolved. |
IO17689 | Problem description (FileNet P8) All of the properties are shown as modified in the audit history for a document, even if only one property was changed. Resolution This problem is resolved. |
IO17916 | Problem description (FileNet P8) When a folder has one associated entry template, after you add the first document, the following problems occur on subsequent adds:
Resolution This problem is resolved. |
IO17922 | Problem description (FileNet P8) A document cannot be added to an IBM FileNet P8 repository when the document class has a default security proxy property. Resolution This problem is resolved. |
IO17923 | Problem description (FileNet P8) The IBM FileNet P8 workflow launch processor does not save the initiating attachment if the document does not have a Name property value. Resolution In IBM Content Navigator, Version 2.0.2, the attachment remains in the workflow after the launch step, even when the name field is empty. |
IO18002 | Problem description (FileNet P8) Adding a document using a class enabled for EDS overrides the FileNet P8 entry template property order with the class definition property order. When a document uses an entry template that specifies the display order of property fields and other field settings, and EDS is also enabled for the document class, after you enter values and EDS changes are processed, the fields are reordered based on the order that is defined in the class definition. The hidden, read-only, and required settings from the class property definitions also replace the entry template settings. Resolution The entry template field order is preserved after calls to EDS. The hidden, read only, and required property settings enabled in the entry template are preserved by restoring the enabled settings after an EDS call. This new behavior also preserves hidden, read-only, and required property settings that were enabled by previous EDS calls in the current Add action. |
IO18013 | Problem description (IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office) When you drag an email from Microsoft Outlook to a teamspace, a duplicate copy of the email is added to the teamspace. Resolution This problem is resolved. |
IO18014 | Problem description (Content Manager on z/OS) After upgrading from IBM Content Navigator Version 2.0.0 to Version 2.0.1, in the IBM Content Navigator Configuration and Deployment Tool, when you try to connect to the DB2 database by clicking Test Database Connection on the Update and Run the Database Script task, an error occurs even when the connection is expected to work. Resolution This problem is resolved. |
IO18035 | Problem description (FileNet P8) When you access a FileNet P8 entry template that uses a class that does not specify the name property, the following error occurs when you open the entry template: A connection to /navigator cannot be established. Resolution You can open an entry template that uses a class that does not specify a name property. |
IO18086 | Problem description (FileNet P8) You cannot change workflow preferences in IBM Content Navigator. When Process Engine does not have any locales defined, there is a null pointer exception that is thrown when users try to change workflow preferences. Resolution This problem is resolved. |
IO18111 | Problem description (FileNet P8) FileNet P8 properties that are set to read-only by an external data service (EDS) are not persisted. Resolution This problem is resolved. |
IO18112 | Problem description (FileNet P8) A teamspace cannot be opened after searches that were assigned to the teamspace are deleted from FileNet P8. When you try to open the teamspace, the following error message is displayed: The list of teamspaces cannot be retrieved. Resolution This problem is resolved. |
IO18122 | Problem description Cannot open FileNet P8 saved searches with user property conditions such as Modified By. Resolution This problem is resolved. |
IO18145 | Problem description In IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office, the following issues occur when you check out and check in documents:
Resolution You can check in a superseded version of a document. Changes to the security of a document are retained when you check in the document. |
IO18160 | Problem description On Internet Explorer, if the Add Document action or Check In action fails, the server error is not displayed. Resolution This problem is resolved. |
IO18166 | Problem description (FileNet P8) When an entry template is configured to hide the select folder step (the Hide Select Folder Step setting is enabled) and no folder is selected (unfiled add), the Add dialog box does not select the class and render the properties. Because no class is selected, the Add button is disabled and the Add cannot be completed. Resolution This problem is resolved. |
IO18177 | Problem description (FileNet P8) When you try to check out and download a document that has minor versions following a major version, the major version of the content is retrieved instead of the current minor version of the content. Resolution When you check out and download a document that has minor versions following a major version, the current minor version of the content is retrieved. |
IO18178 | Problem description (Content Manager OnDemand) IBM Content Navigator cannot run searches that use Application Group field mappings to map a Small Int database value to a String value in the search criteria. Resolution For Content Manager OnDemand search criteria that have fixed value mappings, values are displayed and used in search as indicated by the fixed value mappings. |
IO18192 | Problem description The export count does not match the count in the status field. Resolution The correct export count is displayed in the export dialog. |
IO18193 | Problem description If the browser window is smaller than 1024 x 768, the Property dialog box might not display buttons. The buttons remain inaccessible after increasing the size of the dialog box window. Resolution The dialog box buttons can be accessed. |
IO18198 | Problem description (FileNet P8) In workflow preferences, when you click the Select button for the Out of Office delegation option, the Add User dialog box is not displayed. Resolution This problem is resolved. |
IO18200 | Problem description When the user is logging in to IBM Content Navigator, the login process indication might not be displayed if the login takes longer than expected. Resolution A login status dialog is displayed to indicate that login is in progress. |
IO18218 | Problem description (FileNet P8) When you add a document by using an entry template that hides the Document Title property, and the Document Title property value is unassigned, the Document Title value is not automatically assigned using the file name. The Document Title value remains empty. Resolution When the document title is hidden and unassigned during the add action, the file name is used as the Document Title value. |
IO18223 | Problem description In the IBM Content Navigator Configuration and Deployment Tool, the Configure the Connection to Your LDAP Server task fails if the Directory Service Bind Password begins with a dash (-) character. Resolution This task can run successfully when the password begins with a dash (-) character. |
IO18225 | Problem description (FileNet P8) When a group of users is added to a teamspace, if the display name does not match the short name for FileNet P8, the teamspace cannot be created. Resolution This problem is resolved. |
IO18235 | Problem description (FileNet P8) When you build a new search, you cannot switch to search in other repositories in the same FileNet P8 domain. Resolution A new repository in the same FileNet P8 domain can be selected and the search form is displayed as expected. |
IO18247 | Problem description (FileNet P8) You cannot launch the step processor on IBM Content Navigator work items when you use the Process Administrator. Resolution Administrators can access IBM Content Navigator workflows through the Process Administrator. |
IO18270 | Problem description (FileNet P8) In a list of work items, if you filter the list by using the filter option, and then apply a sort, the filter is removed, even though the interface indicates that the filter is still applied. Resolution When you sort the content list on a filtered in-basket, the existing applied filter is honored. |
IO18274 | Problem description (FileNet P8) Documents cannot be added in IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office when date properties have a date field limit (maxdate) that is set to 12/31/9999. Resolution You can set the maxdate value to 12/31/9999 without errors. |
IO18285 | Problem description In the Teamspaces view, when you click the Actions drop-down link in the list of teamspaces and teamspace templates, the browser closes unexpectedly. This problem occurs on Internet Explorer. Resolution This problem is resolved. |
IO18304 | Problem description (Content Manager OnDemand) AFP documents cannot be displayed because the AFP plug-in was not installed. Resolution In IBM Content Navigator, Version 2.0.2, the AFP Viewer Plugin is available in the installation, which enables you to open AFP documents. To enable this feature, you must load the plug-in, create a viewer map and select the plug-in, and then associate the viewer map with a desktop. You must also have the afpplgin.exe program from ODWEK installed on each computer where a user is accessing IBM Content Navigator. |
IO18306 | Problem description In the Search view, the Search Criteria section is not displayed after double-clicking the area between the search criteria and the search results. Resolution This problem is resolved. |
IO18307 | Problem description When you set a property that has a dependant property, the Add dialog box scrolls to the top. The user needs to scroll back to the property that they were working on. Dependent properties include data that is retrieved by using an external data service (EDS), Content Manager foreign keys, FileNet P8 choice lists, and so on. Resolution This problem is resolved. |
IO18400 | Problem description Login might be slow when configured for multiple geographic locations. Resolution This problem is resolved. |
IO18403 | Problem description When you create a search that uses a Between operator and you leave the date values blank, an error occurs when you open the saved search. Resolution You can create a search that uses a Between operator that has blank date values. |
IO18407 | Problem description When you close a new saved search and reopen the search in the same session, the search cannot be edited. Resolution In an IBM Content Navigator session, when you close a new saved search and reopen the search before the session ends, you can edit the search. |
IO18408 | Problem description This problem occurs in the following scenario after a teamspace-enabled repository (for example, Repository 1) is added to a desktop (for example, My Desktop) as the default repository for the teamspaces feature in a desktop: When an administrator later disables the teamspaces feature in Repository 1, this repository is no longer available in the drop-down list of possible default repositories for the teamspaces feature. (This drop-down list is in the desktop's Appearance tab in the IBM Content Navigator administration tool.) However, after the teamspaces feature is disabled in Repository 1, My Desktop continues to set Repository 1 as the default repository for the teamspaces feature. When you try to edit My Desktop, the FilterSelect widget for the drop-down list throws an exception and the web client stops responding. Resolution When you try to edit the desktop, and the repository that you previously added as the default repository for teamspaces is no longer available, the web client indicates that the current value is invalid, but does not throw an exception. |
IO18410 | Problem description When you run a search by using a search template, the No results were found message is displayed, and then search results are displayed moments later. Resolution The No results were found message is displayed only when the search has returned no results, and not when the search is still in progress. |
IO18413 | Problem description After you change a property value, property fields can be missing if there are nested EDS-dependent properties. Resolution The property fields are displayed as expected. |
IO18418 | Problem description (FileNet P8) Opening a FileNet P8 folder entry template from the content list starts the Add Document Using Entry Template dialog box instead of the Add Folder Using Entry Template dialog box. Resolution This problem is resolved. |
IO18443 | Problem description (FileNet P8) In FileNet P8, if the document has at least one multi-valued object-valued property that references an object, when you change any of the document properties, you receive an error that the properties cannot be saved. Resolution You can change document property values for a document that has multi-valued object-valued properties. You cannot change the value of any object-valued properties. |
IO18466 | Problem description While configuring IBM Content Navigator, the Configuration and Deployment Tool fails to connect to WebSphere Application Server. This problem can happen if the default WebSphere Application Server installation location is not being used. Resolution This problem is resolved. |
IO18470 | Problem description (Content Manager) When you attempt to print a multi-page file from the Ajax viewer, only the first page is printed. Resolution This problem is resolved. |
IO18472 | Problem description (Content Manager) When you attempt to print a multi-part file from the context menu of an item from the search results, only the first part is printed. Resolution You can print all parts by clicking the new Print All option in the context menu. |
IO18474 | Problem description In IBM Content Navigator, when you choose to send a multi-part document to another user through the Email As Attachment feature, only the first document part is available in the email. Other document parts in the multi-part document are not available in the email attachment. Resolution The multi-part document is attached as a .zip file that contains all of the parts. |
IO18497 | Problem description (Content Manager) When you log in to a Content Manager repository in IBM Content Manager, events are not being logged as specifically coming from IBM Content Navigator (CIWEB). The event code does not identify itself as IBM Content Navigator. Resolution IBM Content Navigator records events in the table as IBM Content Navigator events, which can be identified by the application name, CIWEB. |
IO18547 | Problem description The Edit Properties dialog box does not require input for required fields unless the user edits the required fields. Resolution A value is always required in fields that are marked as required. |
IO18560 | Problem description Deleted searches remain listed under recent searches. Clicking the deleted searches results in an error message. When you refresh the page, the error persists. Resolution When a Recent Searches search template cannot be retrieved, the search template is automatically removed from the Recent Searches list. The search template is retrieved if it is left-clicked, right-clicked, or opened. |
IO18580 | Problem description (FileNet P8) Searches created in IBM FileNet Workplace XT with hidden "Search in" criteria result in blank search results when run in IBM Content Navigator. The search results are empty because IBM Content Navigator is not able to run the search when all of the search in folders for the search are set to hidden. The search can be run if at least one search-in folder is not hidden. Resolution The search will run and display results as expected. |
IO18608 | Problem description (IBM FileNet P8) In Version 2.0.1 Fix Pack 1, IBM Content Navigator cannot retrieve connection points for FileNet P8 repository configurations. Therefore, the Work view cannot be opened in IBM Content Navigator, Version 2.0.1 Fix Pack 1. This problem occurs when you create or modify an IBM FileNet P8 repository configuration after upgrading to IBM Content Navigator, Version 2.0.1 Fix Pack 1. When a repository configuration is saved, the connection point list is empty, which causes the connection point setting to be cleared. IBM FileNet P8 repositories must have a connection point setting so that the Work feature can work properly. When the Work feature detects no available repositories, the Work view cannot open. Resolution In IBM Content Navigator, Version 2.0.2, the connection points are retrieved and the Work view opens correctly. |
IO18639 | Problem description When you try to add a document to the repository, IBM Content Navigator attempts to modify system-defined hidden properties if you modify properties that are configured with external data service (EDS) dependent properties. This behavior can cause the Add action to fail with the following error message: Insufficient privileges to perform operation. Resolution IBM Content Navigator does not assign values to system-defined properties during the Add action. |
IO18673 | Problem description When an external data service (EDS) is used to change a property attribute to be hidden, required, or read-only, the change persists. When later EDS calls clear the setting for the property, the property continues to remain hidden, required, or read-only, and the clear action is ignored. Resolution When a change is made to the EDS configuration, the hidden, required, or read-only properties behave according to the latest requests. For example, if EDS sets a property to be read-only, and a later EDS call clears the read-only attribute on the setting, then the setting will be cleared and accept the new requested behavior. |
IO18674 | Problem description (IBM FileNet P8) When an entry template hides the Document Title property and sets a default value for the property, the Add dialog box does not use this default value. The Add action overwrites the default value that is set by the entry template, and uses the content file name instead. Resolution When an entry template hides the Document Title property and sets a default value for property, the Add action uses the default value that is set by the entry template. |
IO18676 | Problem description The cmblogconfig.properties file and the dklog.log log file are not in the correct directory. Resolution Both files appear in the respective correct connectors subdirectories under the /navigator.ear/navigator.war/WEB-INF/classes directory. |
IO18684 | Problem description (IBM FileNet P8) For work items that contain a read-only field, clicking a response button that saves step parameter information or launching the workflow can cause the following error: setParameterValue:parameter cannot be modified since it is MODE_TYPE_IN For example, when the workflow definition contains a parameter that is read-only, the error occurs because IBM Content Navigator attempts to overwrite the read-only value. Resolution IBM Content Navigator does not attempt to overwrite values that are read-only. |
IO18692 | Problem description (FileNet P8) A FileNet Viewer launch (ecm.model.Viewer - getLaunchUrl()) from the SamplePlugin sample pages displays a blank page and JavaScript error. Resolution This problem is resolved. |
IO18710 | Problem description (Content Manager) When you download multiple content files from multiple documents, the content file names in the .zip file contain file paths and there are issues with the .zip file structure. Resolution Only the original file name of the item part is used when creating the .zip file. |
IO18716 | Problem description When you upgrade to IBM Content Navigator, Version 2.0.1 Fix Pack 1,you need to rerun the Build the Content Engine File task when you redeploy IBM Content Navigator because the default Content Engine and Process Engine files were delivered in the fix pack. Resolution This problem is resolved. |
IO18752 | Problem description IBM Content Navigator always attempts a container login with the credentials entered by a user. Resolution IBM Content Navigator uses container login only for specified or necessary cases. |
IO18795 | Problem description Some TIFF files might render with a blank or background-colored screen when processed through the IBM Content Navigator viewer streamer. Resolution TIFF files render without these issues. |
IO18798 | Problem description (Content Manager) After installing IBM Content Navigator, Version 2.0.1, searching a Content Manager repository returns no search results. Resolution This problem is resolved. |
IO18836 | Problem description Unable to log in to IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office when the user has a complex password. Resolution This problem is resolved. |
IO18873 | Problem description (FileNet P8) In a FileNet P8 workflow, when an EDS is used to set a value on a field and set the property to be hidden, the value of the hidden property is not saved when you save or complete the workflow. Resolution Values on hidden properties are saved when you save or complete the FileNet P8 workflow. |
IO18877 | Problem description In the document information pane, there is an issue with scrolling, which prevents you from being able to view all of the document property data in the pane. Resolution This problem is resolved. |
IO18883 | Problem description When you select a choice list value for a property that has dependent properties, then tab to the next field, focus is not restored to the next field after the server call returns the dependent properties. This behavior can be seen in the following windows or dialog boxes: Add, Checkin, Properties, and Work Item Properties. Dependent properties include data that is retrieved by using an external data service (EDS), Content Manager foreign keys, FileNet P8 choice lists, and so on. There is also an issue in which a tooltip message remains open after an EDS call, even after the dialog is closed. When a property tooltip (for example, "A value is required") is displayed before an EDS call, the tooltip is still displayed after the EDS call returns and remains displayed even when the dialog closes. Resolution For the field focus issue, after the server call is completed, focus is restored to the field that had focus while the server call was being processed. For the tooltip issue, the tooltip closes properly when the fields are destroyed and re-created. |
IO18900 | Problem description After the current login expires, the user name field in the Log In window appears unreadable. Resolution This problem is resolved. |
IO18904 | Problem description (FileNet P8) The Remove button is enabled on read-only attachments in the FileNet P8 step processor. Resolution When an attachment is read-only, the Remove button is disabled to prevent users from removing a read-only attachment. |
IO18905 | Problem description (FileNet P8) If your personal in-basket is not configured correctly, you might receive a system error when you attempt to move a work item to that personal in-basket. Resolution The error message explains that the user cannot move the work item because the personal in-basket might not be configured correctly. This error message is available in English only. |
IO18909 | Problem description (FileNet P8) The FileNet P8 workflow in-basket filter cannot be navigated with the Tab key. After you enter a value in a filter field, the Enter key does not invoke the filter. Resolution The Tab key navigates through the filter controls. After you enter a value in a filter field, the Enter key invokes the filter. |
IO18912 | Problem description (Content Manager OnDemand) When you use the Applet viewer to view TIFF documents from IBM Content Manager OnDemand, documents might not be displayed displayed and can result in an error. Resolution This problem is resolved. |
IO18916 | Problem description Launching the ViewerEmbedSample.html in SamplePages fails to open the document. Errors are displayed in the browser console. Resolution This problem is resolved. |
IO18947 | Problem description (FileNet P8) IBM Content Navigator fails to save changes made to FileNet repository properties if the teamspace feature is enabled. Resolution This problem is resolved. |
IO18948 | Problem description The objectId parameter in EDS inProgressChanges and finalExistingObject is always null. The application is unable to track what items are being updated. Resolution This problem is resolved. |
IO18990 | Problem description When you declare a record for the IBM Enterprise Records plug-in, the following error message is displayed: The Id property was not found in the properties collection. This problem occurs when you attempt to declare records for the IBM Enterprise Records plug-in after upgrading to IBM Content Navigator, Version 2.0.1 Fix Pack 1. Resolution This error no longer occurs when you declare records in IBM Content Navigator. |
IO19010 | Problem description Undisclosed security APAR. Resolution The details of this APAR are not available. |
IO19030 | Problem description When you print items or open items in the FileNet viewer, you might see the following security warning message: Block potentially unsafe components from being run? Resolution This problem is fixed for the FileNet viewer if you are running Oracle JRE 1.7 update 21 (1.7.0_21) and later. |
IO19036 | Problem description (FileNet P8) IBM Content Navigator is unable to a run search template created in FileNet Workplace XT. Stored searches that were created in WorkplaceXT and still work in FileNet Workplace XT do not work properly in IBM Content Navigator. Instead of displaying the Search Criteria screen, the CEWEB1601 error is displayed. Resolution This problem is resolved. |
IO19048 | Problem description (FileNet P8) When an EDS service is used to hide a work item property and there are also other dependent properties in the same EDS service request, the hidden work item properties are not saved. Resolution The hidden work item properties can now be saved. |
IO19069 | Problem description (FileNet P8) Annotations that were created in the FileNet viewer, where the annotation permissions contain a user or group that has an ampersand character (&) in the distinguished name, are not loaded or displayed in IBM Content Navigator. Resolution Annotations are displayed as expected. |
IO19096 | Problem description On some browsers, when you click to the view the link of a document that has versions, and you click Specific Version, the version grid is displayed briefly and closes immediately. Resolution The version grid is displayed until the user chooses to close it. |
IO19108 | Problem description (FileNet P8) When a work item is first opened from the public in-basket, the lock action should occur immediately, to prevent other users from attempting to open the same work item. Instead, if other users attempt to open the work item at roughly the same time as the first user, those users might be able to open the work item. Resolution When a work item is opened from a public in-basket, the lock action happens more immediately to prevent other users from attempting to open the work item. |
IO19182 | Problem description In some areas of IBM Content Navigator, if a choice list has choices that contain a 0 integer, the string display name is not displayed. Instead, the choice is displayed as 0. Resolution Choices that contain a 0 integer display the string names correctly. |
IO19192 | Problem description Viewing a Federated Content Manager OnDemand document in a FileNet P8 Content Engine repository in IBM Content Navigator fails with the following error: Unknown folder name. This problem can occur if the document belongs to a Content Manager OnDemand application group that does not have an associated Content Manager OnDemand folder, or if the associated Content Manager OnDemand folder name is different from the application group name. Resolution This problem is resolved. |
IO19311 | Problem description (FileNet P8) The Email as Attachment action fails with an error on IBM FileNet P8 if no default FileNet P8 name property is defined. Resolution This problem is resolved. |
IO19324 | Problem description (Content Manager OnDemand) If using the Internet Explorer 8 browser, the hold list in the Apply Hold dialog is not visible. Resolution This problem is resolved. |

IO19363 | Problem description (FileNet P8) FileNet P8 boolean 'false' values returned by EDS are not handled correctly in the step processor window. Resolution This problem is resolved. |
IO19369 | Problem description Work Item fields marked with the CustomValidationError attribute are not treated as having invalid values. Resolution This problem is resolved. |
IO19424 | Problem description (Content Manager) A type mismatch error is returned when searching against Date fields on Content Manager for z/OS. Resolution This problem is resolved. |
IO19431 | Problem description Some read-only fields with dependent attributes trigger an EDS lookup when input focus passes through the field. Resolution This problem is resolved. |
IO19447 | Problem description (FileNet P8) The IBM Content Navigator server returns an incorrect error when attempting to retrieve a FileNet P8 entry template that cannot be found. Resolution This problem is resolved. |
IO19453 | Problem description (FileNet P8) A deadlock condition appears with IBM FileNet P8 repositories when the system is under load. Resolution This problem is resolved. |
PJ40156 | Problem description For Office 2010, IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office does not use the correct language setting that is set for Office 2010. For example, on systems that use Office 2010, if the language setting in Office is set to French, IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office is set to English by default. Resolution The correct registry key is used to determine the IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office language setting. |
PJ40664 | Problem description If Microsoft Office is configured to open each document in its own window, multiple custom task panes are displayed when you check in and check out documents from IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office. Resolution This problem is resolved. |
PJ40665 | Problem description Choice list values are not set properly when using type-ahead to set a value. An error is displayed when you complete the information in the dialog box, for example, when you click Add to add the document. The error message indicates that the value is incorrect. Resolution When you select the choice list value that you want by using type-ahead, the value is set when you exit the choice list. |
PJ40712 | Problem description Microsoft Excel files cannot be opened in IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office if the files were saved with all uppercase file extensions, for example, .XLS and .XLSX. Resolution Microsoft Excel files that have uppercase file extensions can be opened in IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office. |
PJ41025 | Problem description In Microsoft Outlook 2010, when you drag a folder from the tree pane to the list view pane, the folder is not moved when you release the folder to the target location in the list view pane. After you drag the folder, when you drag an email to the list view pane, a folder outline appears in the list view pane as you are dragging the email. The following error occurs: FNRCE0010Ecom.filenet.api.exception.EngineRuntimeException: FNRCE0010E: E_BAD_VALUE: The value given for a property or list element lies outside the permitted range or value set, or exceeds the maximum length allowed. Loop in folder hierarchy; id = {0B0B9066-BCE7-460A-B3CE-8075E39BC8D4}. failedBatchItem=0 errorStack={"...
