  • Presenter: Dennis Riddlemoser is a WebSphere Accelerated Value Specialist. Prior to AVP, Dennis was WebSphere Application Server Level 3 (L3) Security development team lead, where he worked on the Security components and contributed to the IBM Support Assistant. Dennis has extensive support and development experience in various roles for IBM back to 1989.

Jagdish Komakula is a Staff Software Engineer, has over nine years of IT experience in WebSphere administration, Java™, J2EE, XML, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), and related technologies. He holds a Master’s degree in Information Systems and currently part of the World Wide Competitive Migration Team. He was a Technical Lead for SIBus Test Team and Project Lead for WAS Functional Verification Test Team at IBM Software Labs, Bangalore, India. WebSphere BPM Error Handling and Solution Recovery

Within a given SOA/BPM solution there are a number of diverse behaviors and system characteristic that are exhibited from service providers that must be accounted for in an error handling strategy, such as transactionality, idempotency, and service availability, etc. Error handling strategies need to be in place to manage the variability of these heterogeneous services and facilitate fault (planned and unplanned) tolerance, problem determination and system recovery. The family of BPM products from IBM provide a number of tools to assist in the creation of error handling strategy and robust solutions. Our topic will describe what tools are available and explore common usage scenarios.
