IBM Rational Developer for Power Systems Software Power Tools for i / AIX V8.5 consists of IBM Rational Developer for Power Systems Software and IBM WDT with Web Development Extension for Power Systems Software.
From IBM Passport Advantage, the core images are:
- IBM Rational Developer for Power Systems V8.5 Multilingual Multiplatform (CI7TGML)
- IBM Rational Developer for Power Systems V8.5 with WDT Part1 Multilingual Multiplatform (CI7TIML)
- IBM Rational Developer for Power Systems V8.5 with WDT Part2 Multilingual Multiplatform (CI8UYML)
Overview of basic installation steps:
- Download and unzip the core images to a temporary location (e.g. C:\temp). Ensure all are unzipped into the same temporary location.
- Start the IBM WDT with Web Development Extension for Power Systems Software launchpad (e.g. C:\temp\WDTEXT_SETUP\launchpad.exe) and install the product. In the installation wizard, do not choose the option to extend an existing Eclipse IDE already installed since that is not supported with IBM Rational Developer for Power Systems Software.
- Start the IBM Rational Developer for Power Systems Software launchpad (e.g. C:\temp\disk1\launchpad.exe) and install the product. In the installation wizard, choose the option to install into the same package group as IBM WDT with Web Development Extension for Power Systems Software.
