Abstract
IBM Support Assistant 5.0 Team Server Beta 2 provides a tooling platform for running problem determination tools. This document explains how to use the IBM Installation Manager to install and update tools for IBM Support Assistant 5.0 Team Server Beta 2.

Problem determination tools for IBM Support Assistant 5.0 Team Server Beta 2 are delivered through IBM Installation Manager. This lets you easily discover, install, and update individual tools.
You must have IBM Support Assistant 5.0 Team Server Beta 2 installed before you can install problem determination tools. These instructions assume the IBM Support Assistant 5.0 Beta 2 repository is configured in IBM Installation Manager. See "Installing IBM Support Assistant 5.0 Team Server Beta 2" for details.
Installing new problem determination tools
- Start IBM Installation Manager.
- Select Install from the IBM Installation Manager panel.
- Select the IBM Support Assistant Tool offerings you would like to install, then click Next.
- Read and accept the license terms, then click Next.
- Select the IBM Support Assistant Beta2 package group, then click Next.
- Confirm the problem determination tool features you want to install, then click Next.
- Review the installation summary, then click Install.
- After installation completes, click Finish and close IBM Installation Manager
Updating problem determination tools
- Start IBM Installation Manager.
- Select Update from the IBM Installation Manager panel.
- Select the IBM Support Assistant Beta2 package group, then click Next.
- Select the problem determination tool package and version you would like to update, then click Next.
- Read and accept the license terms, then click Next.
- Confirm the problem determination tool packages you want to update, then click Next.
- Review the update summary, then click Update.
- After the update completes, click Finish and close IBM Installation Manager.
