Date of change: September 2015
Topic: Updates for PI37782 (Number of rows on the Table Selection panel); “Opening a table” (Chapter 5)
Change description: The ETI$DPTB panel is updated to include a new Row Count column, which displays the table row count for each table. Also, the following note is added to the topic:
- "If row count information is unavailable, the value in the Row Count column will be -1."

Change description:The ETI$EXPL panel is updated to show the position of characters (000001 in the example below) where the data break occurs within the record when the ZOOM command is used. The bottom portion of the panel is updated as shown below:

Topic: Updates for PI37783 (Insert default values in columns NOT NULL or NOT NULL WITH DEFAULT); "The DB2 Table Editor ISPF main panel” (Chapter 5)
Change description:
Part 1:
The ETI$MAIN panel is updated to include the new “use default values” option, and the following definition is added to the topic:
- Use default values: Type Y if you want NOT NULL columns (with no default value) automatically populated with values depending on the data types of the columns.
Columns defined as NOT NULL WITH DEFAULT are not affected by the value in this field. The default value is N.
Part 2:
“Opening a table” (Chapter 5) is updated with an additional step (#7):
- In the Use default values field, type Y if you want NOT NULL columns (with no default value) automatically populated with values depending on the data types of the columns.
Columns defined as NOT NULL WITH DEFAULT are not affected by the value in this field. The default value is N.
