Content Navigator with external data service implementation: When using foreign keys, choice list values must exist in the foreign key constraint table (IBM Content Manager)

Product documentation

Abstract

For configurations that use an external data service (EDS), issues can occur for choice lists item types that use foreign keys. When users select an EDS choice list value that is not in the foreign key constraint tables, the user receives an error when they attempt to complete the action to add a document, edit properties, create a folder, or run or save a search.

To avoid this issue, the choice list values must exist in the foreign key constraint table. When new choice list values are added to the EDS data source, ensure that you update the foreign key constraint table.
