Known issues for IBM® WebSphere® MQ Advanced Message Security 7.0.1 Fix
Pack 3 are addressed in this document.


1.0 "Description"

This readme provides important information about fix pack 3 for version
7.0.1. It contains the most current information for the fix pack on Unix
and Windows platforms and takes precedence over all other documentation.

Please review this readme thoroughly before installing or using the fix
pack.

The WebSphere MQ Advanced Message Security 7.0.1 information center can

2.0 "Defects fixed"


* Corrected Java self-signed certificate validation.
Messages signed by self-signed certificates accepted by
recipient in Java only if the certificate is present in the keystore.

* Fixed defect in multi-thread get truncated message.

* Corrected defect with WebSphere MQ AMS dependency on the WebSphere
MQ client.
Having WebSphere MQ 7.5 aside installed in your enironment does not interfere
with WebSphere MQ AMS Fix Pack installation.

* Slashes are now allowed in policy names.

WebSphere MQ AMS 7.0.1 Fix Pack 3 includes all features and fixes introduced
by WebSphere MQ AMS 7.0.1 Fix Pack 1 and Fix Pack 2.


3.0 "System requirements"

See the Supported technology section in the MQ AMS information center
for detailed information about the system requirements.


4.0 "Installing the fix pack"

This section contains the instructions for installing the fix pack.


4.1 "AIX platform"

To install the fix pack on AIX® platforms, perform the
following steps:

a. From the command prompt, log in to the system as root.
b. Stop all WebSphere MQ AMS processes.
c. Disable WebSphere MQ AMS interceptors.
d. Run:

installp -a -d $PWD <package>

where the <package> is one of the following:
* MQAMS.Runtime_7.0.1.3
* MQAMS.Client_7.0.1.3
* MQAMS.Server_7.0.1.3
* MQAMS.Policy_7.0.1.3
* MQAMS.Java_7.0.1.3

e. Restart all MQ AMS processes.


4.2 "HP-UX platform"

If you are already using the WebSphere MQ AMS 7.0.1.1
or 7.0.1.2 manufacturing refresh, which contains the
base version of WebSphere MQ AMS 7.0.1 and Fix Pack 1
or Fix Pack 2, you cannot additionally install and use
the patch version of WebSphere MQ AMS 7.0.1.3. To be
able to use WebSphere MQ AMS version 7.0.1.3, uninstall
the 7.0.1.1 or 7.0.1.2 version and install the manufacturing
refresh version 7.0.1.3.

To install the fix pack on HP-UX platforms, perform the
following steps:

a. From the command prompt, log in to the system as root.
b. Stop all WebSphere MQ AMS processes.
c. Disable WebSphere MQ AMS interceptors.
d. Run:

swinstall -s $PWD/<package> <patch>

where the <package> and <patch> pairs are as follows:

e. Restart all WebSphere MQ AMS processes.


4.3 "Linux platform"

To install the fix pack on Linux platforms, perform the
following steps:

a. From the command prompt, log in to the system as root.
b. Stop all WebSphere MQ AMS processes.
c. Disable WebSphere MQ AMS interceptors.
d. Run:

rpm -i <package>

where the <package> is one of the following:

* MQAMS-Client-FP3-7.0.1-3.i386.rpm
* MQAMS-Java-FP3-7.0.1-3.i386.rpm

4.4 "Solaris platform"

If you are already using the WebSphere MQ AMS 7.0.1.1
or 7.0.1.2 manufacturing refresh, which contains the
base version of WebSphere MQ AMS 7.0.1 and Fix Pack 1
or Fix Pack 2, you cannot additionally install and use
the patch version of WebSphere MQ AMS 7.0.1.3. To be
able to use WebSphere MQ AMS version 7.0.1.3, uninstall
the 7.0.1.1 or 7.0.1.2 version and install the manufacturing
refresh version 7.0.1.3.


To install the fix pack on Solaris platforms, perform
the following steps:

a. Log in to the system as root.
b. Stop all WebSphere MQ AMS processes.
c. Disable WebSphere MQ AMS interceptors.
d. Run:

patchadd -t <package>

where the <package> is one of the following:
* MQAMSCLIENT000701-03
* MQAMSJAVA000701-03
* MQAMSPOLICY000701-03
* MQAMSRUNTIME000701-03
* MQAMSSERVER000701-03

e. Restart all WebSphere MQ AMS processes.


4.5 "Windows platform"

To install the fix pack on Windows platforms, perform
the following steps:

You can install WebSphere MQ AMS on Windows platforms using either the
installation wizard or the command prompt interface.

a. Log in to the system as administrator.
b. Disable interceptors to stop all communications using WebSphere MQ
AMS.
c.
* Using the installation wizard:
I. Launch the installation wizard by executing the install.exe
file.
II. Follow the installation wizard instructions.

* Using the command prompt:
I. Move to the directory where your install.exe file is located.
II. Issue the following command:
install -i console

III. Follow the installer instructions.



5.0 "Uninstalling the fix pack"

To remove the patch on UNIX systems, perform the following steps:


5.1 "AIX platform"

1. From the command prompt, log in to the system as root.
2. Stop all WebSphere MQ AMS processes.
3. Disable WebSphere MQ AMS interceptors.
4. Run:

installp -r <package>, where <package> is one of the
following:

* MQAMS.Runtime_7.0.1.3
* MQAMS.Client_7.0.1.3
* MQAMS.Server_7.0.1.3
* MQAMS.Policy_7.0.1.3
* MQAMS.Java_7.0.1.3

5.2 "HP-UX platform"

1. From the command prompt, log in to the system as root.
2. Stop all WebSphere MQ AMS processes.
3. Disable WebSphere MQ AMS interceptors.
4. Run:

swremove <patch>,r=7.0.1.3, where <patch> is one of
the following:

* MQAMS-Client
* MQAMS-Java
* MQAMS-Policy
* MQAMS-Runtime
* MQAMS-Server

5.3 "Linux platform"

1. From the command prompt, log in to the system as root.
2. Stop all WebSphere MQ AMS processes.
3. Disable WebSphere MQ AMS interceptors.
4. Run:

rpm -e <package_file>, where package is one of the
following:

5.5 "Windows platform"

* Using the installation wizard:
a. From the Add or Remove Programs list, select WebSphere MQ
Advanced Message Security and click the Change/Remove
button.
b. Follow the wizards instructions.

* Using the command prompt:

From the command prompt issue:

"<installation_dir>\Uninstall_IBM WebSphere MQ Advanced Message
Security 7.0.3\Uninstall IBM WebSphere MQ Advanced Message Security
