Abstract
All versions stated of an environment presume the initial release of a 3rd party product without any need for patches/service packs or equivalent terms unless stated. Equally, unless stated, IBM Cognos presumes that the 3rd party product has not been configured to disable new features (compatibility modes) and that all patches/service packs are upward compatible for our products from the versions stated.
Software environments for Cognos TM1 10.1.1 are listed as active, compatible or not supported. Environments denoted as active are the environments tested by Cognos. Although environments denoted as compatible may also be tested, testing may be limited or support may be based on upward compatibility statements from Cognos partners and third-party vendors. Older releases of environments may transition from active to compatible over time as significant testing would have occurred in previous Cognos releases.

Notes:
1. Need to set OracleErrorUnicodeDateCharacterWorkaround=T in TM1s.cfg
2. ODBO support via Excel 2007 and 2010 Pivot tables is not supported. Advanced Rules Editor requires .NET Framework 2.0 or higher on the client.
3. TM1 Perspectives with Excel 2003 does not provide Unicode support (requires Excel 2007 or higher).
4. Supported version of Excel (with latest service pack) recommended on the Web Server. Web Application requires .NET 3.5 SP1.
5. TM1 Performance Modeler is not supported on the iMac.
6. The only version of Firefox that IBM actively supports is the Extend Support Version of Firefox ESR 17 (see http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/). If customers use the non-ESR version of Firefox (version 12, 13, 14, 15 …) it is our best estimation that changes in the current and future versions of the Firefox browser will not cause issues with our product used as long as Mozilla does not remove, explicitly or inadvertently disable functionality that the browser based tools rely on. However we recommend that you contact IBM support if you do encounter any such issues. For browser levels higher than the levels that have been certified with Cognos TM1, Customer Support will accept usage-related and defect-related service requests. As with operating system and virtualization environments, if IBM support cannot recreate the issue in our lab, we may ask the customer to recreate the problem on a certified browser.
7. Extracting from OLAP Sources other than SAP BW not supported.
8. TM1 Portlets are provided for backward compatibility. IBM Cognos TM1 Widgets are the current offering and are delivered with IBM Cognos BI 10.1 release and higher.
9. TM1 Application Web requires a TM1 Web Server and TM1 Application server install. TM1 Web requires a TM1 Web Server and TM1 Operations Console requires a TM1 Application server.
10. Mode 1 and Mode 5 are the only supported TM1 security modes for Performance Modeler and the TM1 Application Server.
11. TM1 Package Connector for BI 10.2 is available for download with the Cognos BI 10.2 software.
