This newsletter contains links to IBM BigFix (formerly known as IBM Endpoint Manager and Tivoli Endpoint Manager) technical support documents and information. It is intended to help you be proactive in the support and administration of your software.

Product releases and news
  1. A Gentle Reminder on End of Support for BigFix version 8.2
    Tivoli Endpoint Manager v8.2 will officially reach end of support on April 30, 2016.
  2. BigFix Patch for Red Hat Enterprise Linux expands support to include RHEL 6 System Z
    Users can now deploy RHEL 6 Fixlets in the System Z architecture and avail of features that include the download plug-in and the YUM History dashboard, among others.
  3. IBM BigFix Patch extends support for AIX 7.2
    The BigFix Patch for AIX team released an upgrade Fixlet for AIX 7.2 Recommended Service Pack (7200-00-01). This release also includes inventory-only (audit) Fixlets for AIX Security Advisories, Critical Fixes, High Impact/Highly Pervasive Fixes and Program Temporary Fixes (PTFs) that are released since the last Maintenance Level Package update.
  4. *NEW* SCM Content: PCI DSS Checklist for Windows Embedded POSReady 2009
    IBM is pleased to announce the availability of the new security configuration management checklists for IBM BigFix Compliance PCI Add-on.
  5. IBM BigFix Patch for Windows now supports Office 365 for Office 2013 applications
    BigFix supports fully installed Office 2013 applications for the PC version of the following Office 365 subscription plans: Office 365 ProPlus, Office 365 Enterprise E3, and Office 365 Enterprise E5
  6. BigFix Lifecycle now supports Windows FixPack and Interim Fix patch content for WebSphere Application Server in the Advanced Patching site
    You must subscribe to the Advanced Patching site. From the License Overview dashboard, under Lifecycle Management, subscribe to the site to access the content.
  7. IBM BigFix Patch now supports Solaris 11.3 SRU
    This release includes tasks to make these SRUs available in your repositories and Fixlets to update your endpoints.
  8. IBM BigFix Patch extends support to include Debian 7
    There is support for Debian 7 (i386 and amd64) for BigFix platform version 9.2 and later. BigFix Patch provides Fixlet content through the “Patches for Debian 7” site to help you manage the Debian security updates from the BigFix console.
  9. BigFix Patch for Windows supports all language independent content in the 'Patches for Windows' site effective December 1, 2015
    BigFix Patch for Windows is now releasing all language independent Windows Fixlets for both English and non-English operating systems in the Patches for Windows site. BigFix Patch for Windows will stop releasing language independent patches into the different language sites. As part of this change, the Patches for Windows (English) site was renamed to the Patches for Windows site. Language independent content for both English and non-English operating systems are now published in the one site.
  10. IBM BigFix Protection extends support for Mac OS X 10.11
    We are pleased to announce that updates to the Core Protection Module (CPM) sites are available. The main highlight of this release is the support for Mac OS X 10.11.
  11. Bigfix+QRadar integration now available!
    Simply, BigFix expedites remediation of the endpoint vulnerabilities that QRadar prioritizes.
  12. 9.2 Patch 6 for IBM BigFix Platform
    IBM released 9.2 Patch 6 ( of the BigFix Platform.
  13. IBM BigFix WebUI is Now Available
    The WebUI is a brand new way to manage endpoints in your deployment using a modern web application, outside of the BigFix console. The WebUI is a feature of the 9.2 Patch 6 version of the BigFix Platform.
  14. Application Update: IBM BigFix Compliance 1.7.55 is now available
    IBM released IBM BigFix Compliance version 1.7.55 (Patch 1), formerly called IBM Endpoint Manager for Security and Compliance Analytics (SCA). This patch release covers an APAR fix and addresses security vulnerability to CVE-2015-2017.
  15. New BigFix Developer's site (developer.bigfix.com)
    This is the official IBM repository of information for developing IBM BigFix content, and it is tailored to satisfy the needs of both beginner and expert content developers.
  16. New version of IBM BigFix Protection (formerly known as Core Protection Module) is released
    Highlights: Behavior Monitoring Scan Enhancement, Smart Protection Server Enhancement, Global Intelligence Command & Control Server Lists, Network Content Inspection Engine Integration with Command & Control IP List, Platform and Browser Support, Suspicious Connection Settings Enhancement

  3. AIX Download Cacher now requires the complete fix ID
    The AIX Download Cacher tool was recently updated to utilize the Electronic Customer Care (ECC) services. In this update, the tool's APIs were modified to allow seamless synchronization with IBM Fix Central.
