Abstract
Tivoli Storage Manager includes within it, the IBM Cognos Business Intelligence offering, which in itself is a purchasable product sold by the IBM software division. Cognos is more than just a reporting tool, it is a business intelligence offering giving the customer real information manipulation and analysis capabilities normally not available in a storage management solution like TSM.
TSM version 6.3 also includes in it more complete data collection for those Attribute Groups
(tables) that are needed for effective charge back reporting. Now with this newly collected data, it
is possible for the TSM administrator to create usable charge back reports, schedule them, and
email them automatically.
