Mandatory migration of WebSphere Transformation Extender Secure Adapter Collection
All WebSphere Transformation Extender customers who use the Secure Adapter Collection must migrate from using RSA software to using IBM Global Security Kit (GSKit) as soon as possible. The RSA software is under limited support, and will receive no support after March 15, 2016. The migration process involves installing the IBM GSKit software and a one-time certificate migration. After migration, the HTTP and FTP adapters and the Launcher Agent can communicate using the latest security protocols (such as TLS 1.2) and updated ciphers.
Deprecated RFC-based adapters in WebSphere Transformation Extender Pack for SAP V220.127.116.11 release
The RFC-based adapters, for example, the ALE, BAPI, and BDC adapters, are now deprecated. These adapters are listed in adapters.xml with a deprecated label. This label is visible when the adapters are viewed in WebSphere Transformation Extender Design Studio. The SAP RFC library on which these adapters are based will no longer be supported by SAP after March 31, 2016. While the RFC-based adapters can be used in this release, you should be aware that they will be removed in a future release of the Pack for SAP. You should instead, use the JALE and JBAPI adapters.
