Abstract
This document describes the z/OS V1R10 Communications Server access to two new internal networks.
Content
The networks are as follows:
- The intranode management network, which provides connectivity between network management applications within the zEnterpriseTM node.
- The intraensemble data network, which provides access to other images that are connected to the intraensemble data network and to applications and appliances that are running in an IBM System z® BladeCenter® Extension (zBX).
You can access the two internal networks through OSA-Express3 adapters that are configured with an appropriate channel path ID (CHPID) type. See the 2817DEVICE Preventive Service Planning (PSP) bucket for more information.
