Content
The tables below list the removed and deprecated functions for the following products:
The following table includes deprecated and removed function in:
|
Type of change | Effective version | Function |
---|---|---|
Deprecated | 8.0.2 | Web Diagram Editor This function is now deprecated and the function might be removed in a future release. |
Deprecated | 8.0.2 | Web Site Designer This function is now deprecated and the function might be removed in a future release. |
Deprecated | 8.0.2 | Java EE Security Editor This function is now deprecated and the function might be removed in a future release. |
Deprecated | 8.0.2 | Test and profiling tools - Java Virtual Machine Profiler Interface (JVMPI) The JVMPI profiler is now deprecated and the function might be removed in a future release. Java Virtual Machine Profiler Interface (JVMPI) is the only profiler supported for "pre JRE 1.5" JVM. Java Virtual Machine Tool Interface (JVMTI) profiler is supported for "JRE 1.5 or newer" JVM. If you work with WebSphere Application Server v6.1, both the JVMPI and Java Virtual Machine Tool Interface (JVMTI) profilers are supported, and so you can begin using the JVMTI profiler by selecting "JRE 1.5 or newer" profiler in the Profile on Server dialog. In WebSphere Application Server v6.0, only the JVMPI profiler is supported. In this case, you might consider migrating to a newer version of WebSphere Application server that supports the JVMTI profiler. |
Deprecated | 8.0.2 | Support for DB2 Database for Linux, UNIX and Windows v7.2 Support for DB2 Database for Linux, UNIX and Windows v7.2 is now deprecated and the function might be removed in a future release. |
Removed | 8.0 | Crystal Reports is removed The Crystal Reports tools and runtime are no longer included. For more information, see: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21457764 |
Removed | 8.0 | Project Interchange function is removed Projects exported and saved using the Project Interchange option can be successfully imported into a workspace by following these steps:
To export projects in a way that is equivalent to using Project Interchange:

Removed | 8.0 | The wizards that import and export a table's content as XML have been removed. This functionality was available through the following actions:
|
Deprecated | 8.0 | Support for Windows Server 2003 Support for the following Microsoft Windows operating system is deprecated and might be removed in a future release:
|
Deprecated | 8.0 | J2EE Connector (J2C) tools - C-importer The following function is deprecated and might be removed in a future release:
|
Deprecated | 8.0 | J2EE Connector (J2C) tools - batch importer The following function is deprecated and might be removed in a future release:
The Batch importer allows you to create and access J2C binding classes using a commad-line interface, rather than using the J2C Data Binding wizard. The replacement tools for this functionality are the J2C Ant scripts. You can save your session data while using the J2C bean wizard or CICS/IMS Data Binding wizard into J2C Ant scripts. Then you can execute the J2C Ant scripts in the command line mode or inside the workspace. |
Deprecated | 8.0 | EJB 2.1 graphical editing and transformations You can use UML notations to create diagrams of EJB 1.0 and 2.0 implementations. Transform from UML conceptual models to EJB 1.0 or EJB 2.0 code frames. Note that this feature is deprecated; maintenance and support continues, but further enhancements are discontinued. |
