Interim fix 001 for IBM Rational Software Architect for WebSphere Software, Version V7.5.5.1 allows the sharing of projects with Rational Software Architect for WebSphere Software, Version 8.0.

If you do not install this interim fix, then if you share a project from version 7.5.x to version 8.0 and then share the project back to version 7.5.x, the project could contain unrecognizable metadata, and certain project actions will be unavailable. This could occur with any version 8 project imported back to 7.5.x.

Note: This update is necessary only if you use the BPMN modeling feature. In this case, this interim fix is necessary to help protect BPMN model integrity.
  • This update disables the BPMN Modeler copy, paste, & duplicate functionality to prevent BPMN model corruption, which can occur when using this functionality on BPMN process and collaboration diagrams.
  • This update contains the version 7.5.5 refresh pack. For details about the version 7.5.5 refresh pack, see the Release Information.

A fix for the following known problem:
  • If more than one application is published to the server, the status of the server does not get updated and auto-publishing does not happen when changes are made to the projects. For example, changes in XML files (deployment descriptors) may not get propagated to the server.

This interim fix addresses the following three known problems:
  • Module Migration wizard assigns wrong target runtime environments.
  • Deployed applications are not removed from the server when they are deleted from the workspace.
  • Links builder stops responding when building large applications.

This interim fix addresses the following two known problems in the profiling support on IBM WebSphere Application Servers:
  • There is an unexpected failure when profiling in IBM WebSphere Application Server Version 6.1 or 7.0 server environment with Java 1.5 or later profiler.
  • Probe insertion fails when profiling in IBM WebSphere Application Server Version 6.1 or 7 server with Java 1.5 or later profiler.
