Abstract
This guide contains information to help a new user of IBM® Tivoli® Network Manager IP Edition version 3.8 get acquainted with the product. It is not intended to provide in-depth information on all the various product aspects, but, rather, to help the user feel more comfortable with using the product for the first time.

Once you have completed the installation of the IBM Tivoli Network Manager IP Edition product, you will need to know what to do next and where to find things. The purpose of this document is to help you locate features in the user interface and to help you better understand how to make Network Manager do what you want.

With Network Manager, there are many ways to do different things. This document will focus on using the GUI to perform tasks, rather than how to alter the underlying configuration files. It will, however, refer to the underlying files so you can be more familiar with where they are. It will also use command line utilities to show you different ways to take that next step.
