Abstract
Tivoli Storage Manager FastBack is a complementary solution to IBM Tivoli Continuous Data Protection (CDP) for Files. As its name suggests, IBM Tivoli Continuous Data Protection for Files is a real-time, continuous file-level data protection solution specifically designed for desktops, laptops and mobile office data protection. Tivoli Storage Manager FastBack offers a complementary enterprise class CDP block-level solution for servers and applications, whether they are in the data center or in branch or remote locations. Deployment of Tivoli Storage Manager FastBack is beyond the scope of this document.
